Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power Converter, 40 Amps. 9100 Series Inteli-Power converters provide safe, reliable, filtered DC power to all 12-volt lighting and appliance circuits. The built-in Total Charge Management System (TCMS) allows for easy addition of the optional Charge Wizard, a microprocessor-controller that constantly monitors the RV battery status and automatically selects one of four charging modes: Boost Mode – (14.4) to quickly bring the battery to 90 percent of full charge, Normal Mode – (13.6) safely completes the charge, Storage Mode – (13.2), automatically activates after 30 hours of non-use or Desulfation Mode – (14.4), for 15 minutes every 21 hours to prevent battery stratification and sulfation (the leading cause of battery failure).

TRC Surge Guard 34750
By Monica Wright
While utilizing the 34750 on our Jayco 5th Wheel at a well maintained RV resort, we had a loss of power. Upon inspection, I discovered the plug had melted at the RV site junction box. The damage was limited to the plug on the Surge Guard, which tripped as advertised prior to damage to the RV, as well as the plug in the junction box was melted. TRC would not honor their warranty stating the problem could not have been their product but faulty junction box plug at the resort. I then disassembled the unit and found the problem to be corroded connections within the surge guard itself. The corroded connections resulted in over current which lead to the failure noted. I again contacted TRC and was informed that since I broke the seal of the unit, it was no longer covered under warranty regardless of the fact that I am a certified electronic technician of over 30 years. Therefore, I would rate customer service as well as their manufacturing quality control unsatisfactory.

Great Surge Protector
By Lovin Granny
We bought one of these in 2005 when we started living out of our 5th wheel while on the road working (year round). Several times it shut our power down when others were still up, I’m assuming due to low voltage. We’ve not had to replace any of our electronics or appliances this whole time. The surge guard gave up the ghost a month ago, so we bought another just like it.Well worth the money!

portable power surge okay
I have a 30 amp and a 50 amp unit because of a previous RV. The addition of the LCD display improves this unit over the older models. Fluctuations in power , on/off line, are kept out of my RV by the use of the timer function. I would improve this unit by having a function swith to monitor each phase for voltage and current. Still a great deal over the price of a dealership sales. I would also recommend that this device be used with a short 50 amp to 50 amp extension cord. Power pedistals are notorious for bad recepticals and it is better to burn up a plug on the extension cord and not the surge guard unit.
