Bad Customer Service
I was very excited to get this Generator for my Cabin. Started out great then at exactly 20 hours the engine blew. Talking with the Vendor has been difficult, no resolution as yet. Could be stuck with a piece of junk. Read their limited warranty closely, appears there really isn’t one.

Broken & Zero Service
By Jens Baake
I bought my unit during Hurricane Sandy. While the diesel motor started it never produced electricity because the carbon brushes were already broken (and I had it grounded). When I contacted the service department, they immediately agreed to send me brushes. Yet it was not their policy to overnight them (even if I paid for it). They arrived 10 days later and we were 10 days without power. The next power outage, the generator ran beautiful for 14 hours. That was the last time I had it running. The following power outage, it wouldn’t start. For four months, I called the company almost every week and the receptionist always picked up: “you need to talk to Curtis, our Diesel Technician.” And for 4 months almost every week, Curtis was either at Lunch, unloading at the dock, or busy doing something else. Every phone call I explained my frustration and nobody offered to help escalate my situation. During that entire time, I talked to Curtis once and he promised to call me back which never happened. The warranty is very limited – build in America but they don’t stand behind their product. The receptionist doesn’t even have a list of local diesel technicians that are familiar with the unit (I would have paid to fix it). Like several other users – I have a brand new piece of yellow junk in my garage.

ok for those budget minded & mechanically inclined
By Bill Tower
our unit has had six breakdowns including a fire after only 120 hrs of use. bad breaker, bad AVR, stuck shut fuel solenoid, leaking fuel petcock, failed fuel line leading to a minor fire, and a bad battery. that said, each time it was repairable. These generators require frequent valve adjustments & oil changes. strongly recommend replacing fuel lines before first use & wiring in two amp meters to separately monitor both 120vac legs.
