I was excited to finally receive this product as it was on back-order for a few months. Some assembly was required (i.e. have to put the back wheels on and front rubber feet) This is a two person job as this thing is *HEAVY*. After putting the oil in and hooking up the propane tank, the generator started easily as per the instructions. I hooked up some loads to it and they powered with no issue.I will come back and down grade this review if I find issue during an extended outage.. hopefully that will not be the case, but as I live in Florida one never knows. It seems very well built and hopefully with the proper care will last a lifetime. I love the fact that it is powered by propane and not gasoline after seeing all those poor folks after Sandy desperate for the latter. I can easily store multiple propane tanks in my shed without it going bad, and it will be there when I need it. It runs quieter than I thought. Overall I am very pleased with the purchase.

LP Power is its main advantage
I bought this generator so that I wouldn’t have to store 10-15 gallons for my B&S 3750 Gas powered generator. It took about 3 days till the air freight company contacted me and we set up a delivery time. This unit comes in a large cardboard box with ply wood bottom. There is a quick start setup guide and instruction booklet. Set up involves installing the rear wheels and the two stands in the front. This is fairly simple –6 screws and nuts. The unit is heavy so you have to prop up the corners. The rear wheels are installed with cotter pins so once on the rest goes quickly. The handle is collapsible as well as the gas tank holder.Once set up, you place the LP tank in the back and there is a standard hose connection to the unit. Despite the big orange hood –underneath is a standard engine/generator setup. The unique features is on the top there is a dial with 3 settings. Number 1 is Prime. For Prime, you press the button on the dial for 5 seconds (there is a picture on the dial), you pull the recoil handle twice (again a picture). Number 2 is Run. For Run they want you to pull the recoil 2 more times. If it doesnt start back to #1. Number 3 is stop. For mine I found it would start if I pulled 3 times in number 2 (but this took some experimentation).Once started operations is the same as a regular gas powered generator. There are side mounted outlet points with reset/trip fuses. The 240 is the one with prong turned in –30amp. I run mine thru the Rigid 30amp to 20amp extension cord to my house. Now for the sound — the engine is well muffled. Its a relatively small generic outfitted with a LP gas carb. Unfortunately, the generator/engine connection has a fairly loud mechanical thrashing. It is not louder than a low end gas powered generator of the same size (which neighbors always complain about) –your not going to get the quiet of a Honda Inverter but they cost thousands more.I have not had mine long enough to know about maintenance/durability but the manual is a bit unnerving with a every x number of hour recommendations. One is a re-calibration of the carb, no explanation, a recommendation to use a professional since it requires “some engine dissembly”.Bottom line for me. During those times when I need it, it gives me an LP option. I’ll keep my Gas powered one around just in case. Not sure if buying a conversion kit would of been a better option but this unit is well made and they’ve made an effort to make it simple. Wish it were quieter….but then the low end one are noisy.

Did not meet expectations
By Shawn Cardwell
I bought this as a replacement to my old lower end gas generator that I typically use for our RV when tailgating with the hopes it would a bit quieter. It was just as loud as my gas generator. I expected it to use more fuel than my gas generator but not to the extent that it did. I was going through a 20lb propane tank every 4 hours. I would estimate the fuel cost to be four times the amount for this propane generator than my gas generator.
